pG Shop Testing Phase

    pG has just installed a shop for use here on the message boards. You will see the Tab listed above:

    Here are some screens:

    Gaining Points:

    You gain points by creating threads, posting replies to threads. Nothing else. Your Sportsbook Cash does not work. You can see your point amount once you click on the Shop Tab.

    We hope to hear your suggestions and ideas for this add-on.

    The shop has a much clearer layout compared to clutter filled vBShop. My favourite icons would have to be the helmets. They look clear and well made. Great job Fists. (y)

    The Shop currently has a separate credits system. These credits can be earnt by starting threads and posting. This system should work well, and you will earn both sportsbook cash and shop points when you post.

    Unfortunately the developer doesn't want to make the sportsbook cash work with the shop. We just have to accept this. :)

    Doesn't that make sportsbook money practically worthless?

    Like you win bets, but you don't get anything out of it besides some virtual credits. Not even a virtual pin D:

    Actually, you do:

    Some people like Sportsbook, some don't. Those that don't are able to post to gain pG Points to use in the shop. Those that like Sportsbook can post and gain Cash to use there. Personally, I like the separate shop points and Sportsbook cash. The shop points are low right now, making posting more valuable for us as a site.

    The main thing for me is attracting posts. Nothing more, nothing less. The site as a whole will not survive without posts. If that is the case, make a blank html page with a shoutbox in it, call it whatever. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Shoutbox, but it isn't the reason this site exists.
